Kim Flintoff

Kim has been on a mission since 2021 to shape the future of education at PCACS. He has taken the TIDES program, a dynamic acronym standing for Technology Innovation Design Enterprise Sustainability, and transformed it into a vibrant and all-encompassing educational offering spanning Years 7-10.  When Kim first arrived at the school, the concept of TIDES existed, but the program had yet to take shape. With his visionary approach, he introduced challenge-based learning methods, inspiring students to delve into a world of innovation, human-centred design thinking, and sustainability.  Under Kim's guidance, students embarked on a journey of discovery, identifying areas within the school that could be enhanced to better support both the school community and environmental priorities. Beyond the school's confines, they also reached out to national and international innovation and entrepreneurship programs, connecting with like-minded individuals and organisations.  The results speak for themselves: Kim's students have achieved success at every level. His innovative leadership has not only given students the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world but also empowered them to become forward-thinking change-makers. Kim's TIDES program is a testament to the power of education to shape a brighter future.
