State:

Queensland

Young Innovator Of The Year

Level Of Achievement:

National Award Winner 2023

‘Project Bray Green’ challenges the behaviours of students by rewarding them to recycle and go green! This innovative solution was developed by Bray Park SHS Year 8 students, Omar Abdelaty, Corey Biggers, Tyler Bryers and Lachlan Tompkins, and supported by their teacher Mr. Werner.

This program offers students the opportunity to contribute to cleaner schools and communities by rewarding their recycling efforts through technology. Students can earn valuable redeemable points, prizes or exclusive school items by simply scanning a QR code when they recycle. To further enhance the experience, students can conveniently track their points through the website or app, thereby helping them achieve their recycling goals.

This innovative and sustainable approach inspires students to embrace a greener lifestyle and be rewarded for their efforts.
